Race around the hat is a V1 (rudderless canoe) race around China Mans Hat down to secret beach and back up to finish with a sprint out of the canoe and up the beach. This was my first time paddling a V1 so you know me, I love a challenge so I said LET'S GOOOOO! I learned a ton in this race and can not wait to try it again! In this video I have put together my favorite surfing clips from June. We've had some big swells mixed with international surfing day so we GOOO! I learned that it's important to keep the boat going straight when the reform comes! You can see on the last wave I leaned on the ama and was able to correct the direction more straight to avoid huli.

This is my favorite regatta race of the season, the views are spectacular and the action is epic! The heat was intense so my camera overheated a few times so I could not capture as many races as I hoped for. If you would like to purchase any clips I got of you, the price is only $25!! The 2024 regatta season has started!! I did my best to film as many races as I could, Enjoy the show;

The KIRA Molokai Challenge was a huge success with great conditions! I hung out at China Walls waiting to see who the first finishers were. I was able to capture some fun shots as everyone navigated the surfline coming into the finish line.

The Annual Kai Wa'a Strong Maliko Race went off on Saturday the 18th of May with pretty clean conditions.
